Introduction

The EQ1 is a slop equalizer that compensates for the uneven broadband frequency response (cable loss) that often occurs in CATV distribution systems.

By inserting the EQ1 at the front end of the distribution amplifier, sloping cable loss is compensated and the amplifier output is provided with a flat broadband frequency response.

The EQ1 has excellent return loss characteristics that can be applied to any distribution amplifier to compensate for negative slope cable losses.

* Note : The distribution amplifier/ drop amplifier must has a flat gain curve.
